The Thai government is one of the leading promoters of electric vehicles in the world. The government proposed a vision of having more than half of the vehicles in Thailand be electric by 2030 (McLoughlin, 2022). At the moment, the demand for electric vehicles in Thailand is low compared to other Asian countries like China. However, the government has introduced incentives that would urge the local market to prefer electric vehicles. One of the main incentives is tax cuts and subsidies on electric vehicles from 2022 to 2023 thereby reducing their costs (Randall, 2022). The country intends to be the leading producer of electric vehicles in Asia by 2030. We can therefore ascertain that the market of electric vehicles is a big opportunity that companies can grab if they develop a successful strategy to enter, run and control the market (Maheshwari & Kumar, 2013). There are several ways that Leapmotor as a new brand can engage in corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Thailand such as philanthropy and voluntary services.
