1) To determine the appropriate services to offer a client, you need to interview the clients. How do you go about it?
Rationale; case managers conduct interviews frequently so as to find the information necessary for rendering any service. This is one of the core activities that a case manager is involved in; therefore, the question seeks to identify if the candidate will give different scenarios and be keen to show that different approaches will be used when dealing with different people (Chernesky, 2000).
2) As a case manager, one must demonstrate excellent listening skills. Cite a situation when effective listening skills came into play and the outcome.
Rationale; the question seeks to ascertain if the candidate has teaching skills. A case manager will be involved in a lot of teaching, therefore, to determine how good they are in teaching, they must have good listening skills. A teacher listens so that they can easily identify what to teach and the recipient too can listen when it is the teacher’s time to talk (Woodside & McClam, 2013).
3) Sometimes you meet with difficult clients, and it is challenging to handle such a situation. How do you go about it?
