Industrialization, Imperialism, and America’s Entry into WWI
Great Plain Indians and Immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe encountered numerous socio-economic challenges based on poor living and working conditions (Slawson, 2019). The minority groups faced poor pay, exposure to dangerous factories, hunger, and other environmental hazards that affected their wellbeing.
Immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe
The people from Southern and Eastern Europe decided to move from their homes and immigrated to the United States during the 19th century. According to Corbett et al. (2017), the minority group encountered numerous problems, especially stereotypes and discrimination. Since most of them were different from the whites, they suffered physical and verbal abuse.
Impact of Industrialization
The pace of immigration was modest during the early period of the Industrial Revolution. Since most immigrants were skilled artisans, their shift to the United States increased the ratio of unskilled to skilled labor endowment.
