Select an issue in nurse practitioner (NP) practice that is of interest to you and in which you would like to see a practice change occur. Conduct a review of literature to see what is currently known about the topic.

Please pick something you can do as a NP in your practice that is patient focused.
Your intervention needs to relate to a measurable patient health outcome.

Understand of the requirements of a PICOT question. The PICOT question is not a research question, but a quality improvement issue that requires a practice change.
Remember- PICOT should focus on something you as an NP can implement and should focus on measurable health outcomes. Even though there have been different health conditions, cardiovascular illness has been one of the most threatening healthcare conditions, such as causing heart attack and stroke. In most instances, these conditions occur when an artery that transfers blood to the brain or heart is clogged by a plaque in the blood vessel, causing an organ failure. The American Heart Association has highlighted it as a critical disease since it has been the cause of more than one million heart attacks in the United States annually. The research shows that even though every individual is at risk of having this health condition, people 65 years or older are at a higher risk than those below that age (Khan, 2020). This research shows that even though all people should be given attention, older people should be given more attention.
