Introduction
When a person wants to answer a specific research question, the best thing to do is conduct a literature search. In particular, the literature helps to determine whether the information is credible, valid, and accurate. As such, an annotated bibliography gives a good overview of the literature. The paper focuses on six empirical journals or articles that examine the implementation of the negative pressure wound therapy using vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) to promote rapid healing of diabetic patients compared to other traditional moisturize gauze dressing topical agents.

The authors show that for many diabetic patients, chronic diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) pose significant health complications. It is critical to choose the best treatment method to help these patients recover within the shortest time possible. Abdelhafez and colleagues make it clear that using negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) is the current best way to manage ulcers.
My research paper will use this article to show that using VAC is a more effective and safer method to treat DFUs. Diabetic patients who use this method achieve the best results within a short timeframe compared to other traditional treatment methods, such as topical agents and moisturize gauze dressing.

The authors carried out the study to determine the clinical efficacy and safety of NPWT with VAC compared to the moist wound therapy (MWT). The research participants were 342 patients who were evaluated in 112 days. Specifically, patients who used NPWT with VAC healed faster than those using the MWT.
Using this article in my study is crucial to show the effectiveness of NPWT compared to MWT. The authors portray that NPWT is the safest and most efficient method of treating DFUs.

Muhammed Hasan, Aziz Nather, and Rachel Teo show that NPWT is crucial in managing complex wounds. The best thing about this method of treating DFUs is that it is innovative and well-established to treat diabetic foot wounds. For example, one of the advantages of using NPWT to manage DFUs is that it improves blood flow.
Using the article in my research paper will be beneficial since it shows why NPWT is the best method for managing DFUs. The authors are clear that no other method works out more efficiently in treating diabetic wounds like the NPWT.
