The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is regarded as a standard that is utilized by Federal statistical agencies. NAICS was established under the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and in 1997 it replaced the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. (Oehlert et al.,2022).
