Application of Kantian Ethics
Discussion
Kantian ethics is defined as a set of universal moral principles that apply to all human beings no matter the context of the situation. Immanuel Kant Is known to have conceptualized Kantian ethics, providing a compelling account of how a set of moral principles can be used to govern and ensure a just society. When defining morality, Kant believed that the motive and not the consequence of action could be used to determine its moral value. Kant believed that every individual should be treated with dignity, not as an end or a means to an end (Abakare 79). He called individuals to be careful with their actions.
Non- consequentialist ethical theory is regarded as a normative ethical theory against rightness or wrongness over behavior being dependent on the goodness or badness of the consequences of our behavior or acts. Kant's theory is an example of how a non-consequentialist approaches ethics. Kant believed that people should act from duty and recognize that our actions need to be judged according to their moral worth.

Showing respect for persons should not matter whether an individual is a law-abiding citizen or whether they are a criminal. Therefore, the medical service provider should not be conflicted on whether to offer the life-enhancing medical procedure to the criminal.
