With the recent Hollywood writers/actors strikes, TV networks are moving toward developing new reality shows (otherwise known as “unscripted” shows). While competition-oriented shows are a mainstay of reality TV, a more interesting form might be a show that follows a talented, rising star in the music business as they create a new album and go on tour.

For this assignment, you will have two main actions:

1)      Select a rising singer or band from the following options and explain in 100-150 words why the singer or band would make a compelling subject of a reality TV series.

2)      When pitching a new film or TV series, it helps to research potential networks/cable channels/streaming platforms that you could design your series to appeal to. Select a cable channel or streaming platform from the following options and explain in 100-150 words why your new reality TV series on the selected singer or band would fit the brand and audiences on this channel or streaming platform.

You will obviously need to do some online research to find some information about the singer or band and the media channel’s popular music-related films or shows and their typical audiences.
