One of the strengths of the abstracts is that as it clearly states the hypothesis that the author in a clear and precise manner in the opening sentence. Secondly, the abstract is equally short, precise and straight to the point thus reducing elements of complication that could have been the case when the facts are thrown anyhow without any systematic flow. On the contrary, although the hypothesis statement in the opening statement serves as a plus in the abstract, it is lacks catchiness which is key in grabbing reader’s attention. That is to say that it lacks practical examples that can attract the reader’s attention into the article. The other weakness is that the authors arguments are well stated in the abstract, they are not connected to the hypothesis.

One of the ways through which the abstract can be improved to make it catchier is to start by brief illustration on how the murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor highlights the overlaps through Instagram infographics. Secondly, rather than just stating his arguments in the abstract, the author can find a way of highlighting how the arguments correspond to the hypothesis statement in the first line of the abstract. For instance, the abstract only state that it analyzes Instagram text surrounding George Floyd and Breonna Taylor deaths but fails to indicate the purpose of the analyses which should be to showcase how Instagram infographics about the deaths represents overlap in scholarship areas.
