Question:
During the World War II, a lot of barbaric things happened that were never even experienced in the pre-alphabetic world. The perpetrators of the war were the intellects from the West. Does this explanation affirm that human empathy which is a function of the right brain was indeed eroded by literacy?
Comment: Cruelty of the wars that have taken place in the civilized intellect world has been worse to the ones that took place in the pre alphabet culture.

Do you believe Christians were justified to persecute ad kill witches even when the author claims that they were never persecuted before the print bible was invented? Do you believe that witches are sinners even in the world today and why?
Comment: Shlain argues that witches were perceived to be powerful and that men feared the inner spirit of women before the alphabet culture. This may be the reason why witches were then persecuted because majority were women.
