Subject: Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) Method better than brainstorming
The Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) Method is a systematic way to solve problems when compared to brainstorming .SIT has five tools, subtraction, unification, multiplication, dependency and division , which have been used to create new solutions since the internal and external attributes of the products are considered this makes it easier to look at ways to improve functionalities and the attributes. Additionally, it is possible to identify the patterns embedded in products and services and reapply these to get solutions using the start point where one already knows about the products and services. The five SIT tools and techniques guide one through innovation focusing on different aspects, but brainstorming is unstructured. When the practice for innovation are used together when utilizing SIT techniques one is likely to solve problems since the solutions are linked to well-defined problems. When seeking solutions one can either look at the problem and find solution or even focus first on the problem and explore the problem. In innovative thinking, there is emphasis on ideas, and the SIT technique allows one to reframe an issue unlike brainstorming when also looks at the ideal set of functionalities and products 2] Choose a product and attach an image.
