The play Othello by Shakespeare begins with the love of Othello, the protagonist with Desdemona his wife. Othello has Iago and Cassio as his officers leading to the development of suspicion of the relations Iago. Iago uses the fracas between Cassio and Bianca’s relationship while Othello loses his wit and become suspicious of Desdemona. Iago is jealous and wants to stoke his jealousy to cause fury between Cassio and Othello leading to several deaths. Thus, the climax is when Othello realized that his wife Desdemona is having an extramarital affair with Cassio. Nevertheless, is Desdemona cheating on Othello? Roderigo dies and Desdemona suffocate then Emilia exposes Iago and his role while Cassio confronts Othello and Roderigo who provide incriminating evidence leading to the capture and future arrest of Iago (Shakespeare, 2006).
