According to Ibn Khaldun, the Black Death is described as a destructive plague that leads to a lot of people vanishing. Its major cause is depicted as the corruption of the air, which caused lung diseases that led to a lot of people dying. On the other hand, Ibn Battuta described the Black Death as a plague that caused a lot of death. He posited that the plague had broken out in Hims and Gaza and was causing a lot of destruction.
