Racism based on Marxist, Feminist, and Liberal Political Paradigm

Other (Not Listed) Instructions:

This is a paper for a social work class.
For this assignment you will develop three versions of a social problem statement, reflecting three different political paradigms as discussed in the Mullaly text: Populist, Neo-conservative, Liberal (or Neo-liberal), Social Democratic, Feminist, or Marxist. You may pick the two paradigms that are most relevant to your social policy but all students are expected to develop one social problem statement reflecting PROP (power, race, oppression, privilege) principles. From each social problem paradigm, you will identify:
What is the definition of the social problem (why is it a problem? This usually involves citations of evidence)
For whom is this a social problem? How is society or individuals being impacted? Why is intervention warranted?
Why does the social problem exist? What issues need to be addressed or situations altered to solve the problem (targets of change)?
To whom falls the responsibility to solve the social problem? What is the role of government in facilitating a solution and what might a solution look like?
A conclusions section of your paper will analyze the problem in the framework through the lens of the NASW Code of Ethics.
This paper should be 2-3 single-spaced typed pages.

Social Problem: Racism
1. Marxist Political Paradigm
The key social problem is racism which is the discrimination, antagonism, or prejudice conducted by a community or an individual by considering their races. Based on the Marxist political paradigm, racism is identified as a two-edged aspect impacting capitalist relations (Gabriel & Ben-Tovim, 2006). It is also identified as critical oppression based on the unique ideology and concerning race. Racism is a social problem that occurs in different forms. It can be expressed in terms of hatred or prejudice and associated with national origin, ethnicity, or color. It is a social problem since it is associated with harassment or abuse with an increased level of intimidation. Some people may view racism based on the critical situation, while others view it based on ideology. All the stated aspects lead to poor relations with different people. Racism is complex since it may be obvious or not obvious. Sometimes racism may not be noted until it promotes adverse impacts on a specific population. Therefore, racism is a critical problem since it impacts the social engagement of a specific individual. In restoring the community's engagement, there is a need to address the issue from a socio-philosophical aspect.
The major group impacted by racism is the people of color. Besides, it impacts individuals by creating an environment where they cannot adequately engage each other. Therefore, it alters the connection between the community members. Based on the Marxist perspective, it is a critical problem that alters capitalist interactions (Mullaly, 2019). The close interaction of different members defines community or society; therefore, any aspect deemed to render such actions is classified as a social problem. The intervention is warranted to restore the interaction of different individuals in society and enhance social unity. Besides, intervention is also warranted to enhance social development, which would promote growth and development. Therefore, racism is a critical problem that jeopardizes growth and development in society.
Racism exists due to poor interpretation of social ideologies that promote it and specific measures that can be used in its elimination. There is a need to focus on a better framework to restore the situation. Racism also exists due to its historical and political roots, which are yet to be uprooted. Therefore, it is complex to timely intervene and eliminate the problem. The key issue needed to address the problem is adequate understanding and interpretation. It will be easy to eradicate racism by analyzing the source.
The critical group who falls the responsibility of racism are the activists. The activists should identify the key sources of the problem and promote timely alerts for eradicating the emerging issues. Besides, the government can significantly eliminate the problem by establishing specific policies that hinder racism. The solution would be effective since it would strengthen the structures for eliminating the problem.
2. Feminist Political Paradigm
Based on the feminist political paradigm, racism is promoted in ...
