When used effectively, the media has a diverse role in society. The media can be used to share information as well as communicate on new developments that are happening in the society. In matters of election, the media has an instrumental role in holding the elected officials accountable for their actions and promises, which effectively promotes democratic environments. Therefore, as a reporter, there is a need to interview the congressperson from the Committee to establish their opinions and find out plans they have for managing public interests. The interview is on what they had promised and are currently doing, which is a way of understanding or establishing the public's perception regarding Congress's actions and intentions. The main aim of interviewing a congressperson is to establish the present concerns and find mechanisms to address these concerns, specifically about perceived barriers to achieving the President's agenda. Information from the interview is viable and educative as it ensures an understanding of Congress's role in representing public interests.
