Interview with Congressperson
The Congress’s Role in Public Interests Representation
When used effectively, the media has a diverse role in society. The media can be used to share information as well as communicate on new developments that are happening in the society. In matters of election, the media has an instrumental role in holding the elected officials accountable for their actions and promises, which effectively promotes democratic environments. Therefore, as a reporter, there is a need to interview the congressperson from the Committee to establish their opinions and find out plans they have for managing public interests. The interview is on what they had promised and are currently doing, which is a way of understanding or establishing the public's perception regarding Congress's actions and intentions. The main aim of interviewing a congressperson is to establish the present concerns and find mechanisms to address these concerns, specifically about perceived barriers to achieving the President's agenda. Information from the interview is viable and educative as it ensures an understanding of Congress's role in representing public interests.
Question 1: How does the Committee on Ways and Means prioritize the public's interests in shaping economic policies and addressing societal needs?

The question is practical because it invites the congressperson to strongly expound on different strategies applicable by dissecting the advantages and disadvantages of the study to ensure the available economic policies or legislative information represents the needed ideas of the public. It means that the congressperson will share how these legislative actions help to maintain the public's interest in ethically upright ideas. An open forum for discussion and further knowledge dissemination of the idea is shared in this process, hindering a biased policy establishment or political agendas that fail to address the interests of community members.
