Chronicles produce a timeline of events, which is implicitly significant in both storytelling and historical writing. For example, they offer facts and information about events rather than just the date and sequence in which they occurred, making them far more detailed than a standard timeline.
2 What can we learn from it?
According to the Bible, we can learn that even the worst of all the kings, Manasseh, turns to God and receives forgiveness, as demonstrated by David and Hezekiah. The most significant setback is that God’s intentions for his people are still moving forward, despite the misery of their exile to Babylon.

Scholars regard Chronicles as a rewritten bible for various reasons. Besides, they contend that the book contains numerous errors and harmful teachings because its authors were not enlightened and wrote during a dark age.

About half of the content in Chronicles is found in other parts of the Old Testament. The book of Chronicles transforms the stories of David, Solomon, and Manasseh from Samuel-Kings because Chronicles attempts to give individuals struggling after this spiritually terrible experience hope and faith in God. Samuel/Kings addressed the hardhearted Jews experiencing exile and captivity. The differences between the two histories of Israel can be attributed to the fact that they were written for different audiences.
