My name is I was born in a village area in China. I have been living with my parents, who in their times were not privileged to receive any education, and a brother who is only three years younger than me. Ever since I was young, I have found myself independent; this meant that I had to take care of everything about school and learning. Nevertheless, I needed to take care of my brother and his learning progress. I needed to help him in situations where he had trouble with his homework. This made my parents send my younger brother to come and ask me for help if he gets any trouble. When I was a child, the most frequent game I played was pretending to be a teacher, so I used my younger brother and his friends as my primary students. I taught them the knowledge that I learned from school, which brought a sense of accomplishment to me. Since then, I have been looking forward to various channels of accessing education and to the day when I can truly become a teacher.
In college, I decided to major in Early Childhood Education. I possessed the strengths needed to become a successful educator: passion, circumspection,patience, and empathy. I believed that these strengths would be my sword and shield in my career. I wanted to be a teacher since I was young. I have insisted on this dream for about twenty years. Throughout this time, I have never given up on this dream. Nevertheless, I like children very much, and what entices me is their small hands and little feet. Ideas that children bring forward tend to be the most innocent and kind-hearted. Their hearts are like a blank sheet of paper without damage. When children smile, they tend to impress me and fill my heart with joy and happiness. When I am sad and depressed, seeing children will let me forget all the unhappy things that run through my mind. However, I found out that I had an introverted personality that I only project to adults during my college life. When I talk to an adult, I am very passive. But the strange thing is that once I talk to a child, I will be different, and I am the one who initiates the talk. I like to do more listening than speaking.
