Outline a long-term recruitment plan that contains at least four (4) components, is aligned with your company's recruitment strategy, but also addresses possible job skill or credential shortages. Note: Consider concepts such as succession planning and hiring retirees. 
Describe three (3) branding strategies that you would employ to attract qualified applicants to your organization. Next, suggest three (3) communication methods that you would utilize to reach out to applicants. Predict the outcome of integrating your branding strategies and communication methods at your organization. Provide a rationale for your response.
Determine two (2) selection processes for recruiting new employees that could apply to your chosen scenario and then identify five (5) selection criteria that you could use when hiring new employees. Next, analyze the effect of the five (5) identified selection criteria on long-term employee retention and preservation of organizational knowledge. Justify your response.
Suggest two (2) assessment methods that you could employ to select new employees for your organization and then analyze the validity and reliability of each method in regards to the job your organization is offering. Next, identify four (4) job predictors that you believe can assess candidates' knowledge, skills, abilities, and other skills and experiences (KSAO's). Provide support for your rationale.

Scenario 1
You are a Human Resources Manager of an expanding technology company consisting of 170 employees that develops and distributes small electronic devices. Over the past two (2) years, a research group formed, designed, and built prototypes of small remote surveillance cameras used for security. Recently, your company won a contract to build and provide these remote surveillance cameras to various government agencies. The contract will begin with your company supplying these cameras to agencies within your home state. If all orders are fulfilled sufficiently, the contract will be expanded to supplying agencies outside of your home state.
For the immediate future, you will need to secure a larger facility and hire more staff to sustain the first part of the contract. This staff will consist of ten (10) Assembly Technicians, one (1) Certified Quality Control Engineer, one (1) Contract Administrator, and one (1) Office Support Paraprofessional. Meanwhile, there is a contract clause requiring that you provide a staffing plan in order to ensure future product deliveries and sustain the possible future growth. 
Scenario 2
You are a former certified education administrator who departed your former position to become the owner of a small, in-home day care consisting of you and a part-time assistant where you care for children from age three (3) to age ten (10). Over the course of time, your demographic population has increased due to significant business growth that has resulted in many families relocating to your area. With more businesses projected to move to the area and the building of new housing developments, it is projected that this growth could be long term.
You have decided that this is a good opportunity to expand your day care business as you have received many inquiries for childcare. In order to comply with your home state regulations, you will require a larger facility and will need to hire additional staff in order to sustain the larger demand for day care. This staff will consist of five (5) Certified Day Care Professionals, one (1) Registered Nurse Professional, five (5) After-School Assistants and one (1) Office Support Paraprofessional. You have secured approval for a bank loan and qualify for future loans for future expansion if your current endeavor is successful. Meanwhile, the state in which you operate has requested that you provide a staffing plan before it will issue licensure for your expanded capacity.

To select right candidates, human resources department must identify key job requirements in attracting a pool of capable applicants. Expansion of business operations is one of the major reasons why different companies may be required to hire more staff. To meet the expansion needs of the expanding technology company stated, specific job requirements have to be followed. It is first important to establish existing job vacancies that need to be filled. Due to the expansion of operations, the company seeks to fill the following job vacancies that are mostly in technical field. They include ten Assembly technicians, one Certified Control Engineer, one Contract Administrator, and one Office Support Paraprofessional.
The technology company will rely on three job requirements to fill the above vacancies. First, the recruitment team will select candidates with relevant work experience of two or more years. This requirement will enable higher productivity and minimize costs of on-the-job training. Secondly, it will be essential for the technology company to recruit only candidates with necessary certification from regulating institutions. For instance, Certified Control Engineer needs to have a registration number and a certificate from National Engineering Board. Additionally, other candidates are required to have right academic certifications to ensure that knowledgeable and skilled candidates join the existing team in the technology company. Lastly, it is important to select candidates with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics. Therefore, clearance from relevant authorities regarding integrity job requirements will be important.
Ways that Job Requirements Impacts Staffing
Job requirement in the recruitment process determines the potential and productivity of human capital (Tzabbar, 2009). Since right candidates will be selected to join expanding technology company, there will be increased efficiency and quality production. Having qualified and experienced personnel in different production will facilitate execution of duties without compromising on the quality of the remote surveillance cameras. Additionally, right job requirements will ensure that there is minimal employee turn over. Qualified employees are more likely to like their jobs, be motivated and therefore stay longer in the company. To ensure that all applicants meet specified job requirements, a rigorous recruitment process will be put in place. This will involve screening through aptitude tests, oral interviews and practical examinations. The candidates will also be placed on probation for three months before being confirmed in their respective jobs. Strict recruitment process will be important to ensure none of the job requirements are overlooked.
