Ever since its inception, Apple Inc. has shown continuous development and growth in its operations. The company managed to become one of the most admired companies in the world, with its products used globally (Hamilton & Webster, 2015). The success of the company can be attributed to the meticulous management capabilities of those in the management positions in the company, especially the CEOs who identified and capitalized on unique organization strategies that propelled the firm to the lucrative market position its enjoys today. Some of the company’s successful strategies pertain to supplier’s responsibility, workers’ empowerment, labor and human rights issues, health and safety, the environment, and the issue of accountability.
Apple’s Supplier Responsibility Information
Apple’s supplier responsibility information concerns its worldwide position in the technology industry, ensuring the consumers of quality products (Apple, 2015). The supplier responsibility information guides the company’s suppliers and employees to maintain equality, respect for human rights, and healthy standards. It also emphasizes on environment conservation at all levels of the firm’s supply chain.
Employee Empowerment
The company equips their employees with the necessary skills by providing them with educational opportunities. Over 861,000 of Apple’s employees have been beneficiaries of Supplier Employee Education and Development (SEED) since its initiation in 2008 (Hamilton & Webster, 2015). For instance, SEED has introduced new I-pad based learning program that benefited the employees in the U.S and other partners in Shenzhen, China.
