He learned that consumers prioritize aesthetic appeal; hence cosmetic standards are upheld in many stores. Delaney noted that some consumers think that “what looks better must taste better,” hence the preference of the consumers. It saddens me that this is how many people think. However, it is undoubtedly true as well that humans are visual individuals, and more often than not, we gauge quality through appearance because it is what we first see, and it is what we are conditioned to do.
4. Do you know anyone like Grant’s grandfather? Explain what they do that makes them similar. Are YOU like Grant’s grandfather? Explain why or why not.
Yes, my grandmother is like Grant’s grandfather. My grandmother always has these containers that she keeps handy every time there is excess food to be eaten at a later time and stored in the freezer to save food. In a way, I am like Grant’s grandfather because I now do what my grandmother does then, like Grant’s grandfather.
