Tom McCarthy's Spotlight (2015) is one of the interesting films I have watched. The core cast of "Spotlight" comprises five members, including Walter 'Robby' Robinson, Mike Rezendes, Sacha Pfeiffer, Matt Carroll, and Ben Bradlee Jr. (Nate Lacob). Throughout their investigations into sexual abuse within the Catholic Church, they learn how deep this problem runs and that it goes all the way to the top. Each character shows an impeccable knowledge of the role and has played a major role in propelling the story. The most interesting part is how the characters have been allocated their roles and how they execute them.
The camera work of the films also contributes to making the film interesting. The cameramen use different angles in shooting the scenes. For instance, the use of the Close-Up camera position emphasizes the importance of certain locations. While watching the film, the viewer can hardly miss the sections that use this camera position. The film seems to be skillfully edited, and each of the scenes is important as it helps in propelling the plot. The sets also focus on all the important details.
The other interesting thing about the film is the main theme presented. The film focuses on the theme of pedophilia and molestation by priests. Music is a real-life use that has been affecting a large number of children across the world.
