1. Was the sequence effective at communicating a message?
The video sequence provides vivid images of people toppling down the stairs while running from the firing guards. It gives such a continuous glimpse of the event that one can describe the occurrence from the beginning to the end. One of the unique aspects was that it could illustrate a person appearing to tumble and fall head first before flipping over. Thus, the ability of the sequence to show how an event unfolds makes it effective at communicating a message to any audience.

The primary message emerging from the sequence is that a conflict exists between the people and the military men.
