Before answering questions concerning project management in an organization, it would be important to first understand the meaning of the term project. According to Cleland & Ireland (2006), project is defined as a temporary task that is carried out within a stipulated period of time to achieve a certain purpose or goal. It is important to remember that project has got a defined beginning and the end time, and therefore has got a predetermined scope and resources. The other thing that is unique about a project in that it is not a day to day operation. For instance, for the case of Apple Company, they might be having a project for developing a given or a specific software. From the above explanation, it is therefore important to first understand the meaning of the term project management. According to Kerzner (2013), manager of a project refers to a process that involves an application of knowhow, tools, techniques and skills to implement the project activities so as to meet the project requirements.

For a project to be properly implemented there must be a strong team in place for the goals of this particular project to be realized. There must be a high-performing project management team. This team must have some key attributes so that they can perform as perfectly as required of them. Some of the key attributes that these people are expected to have include proper communication skills, ability to collaborate with others, ability to solve conflicts or disagreements. It would be important to remember that in a place there are two or more people, there are chances that a conflict may arise. It is also important to allow the rest of the team members to freely express their opposing views so as to make the ideas being presented to be concrete and effective as possible (Larson & Gray, 2013).
