Essay Instructions:

Hi,
Last year, my application to ___________ of Education failed because one of my reference was a blind person. He had visual difficulties, so i think he messed up the reference letter. I have spoken to the school again, and they allowed me to get reference from Mr. ___________ again. With his consent, I need you to help out writing this letter using some of the points below, and of course you can also expand the story based on your narrative while writing this letter. Overall, there are few things required in this letter - the school wanted to know me more than just education/Career capabilities. They wanted to now my personality qualities like how i interest with them, and how those traits will proof i will likely succeed in the future.
The course i am applying to is called Master's in Educational Leadership - Higher Education and if you read a little about this course, most of the courses focuses on race, equity, leadership, diversity, development, inclusion, navigate politics or communicate effectively.
*Please allow me to share a sample reference letter provided by someone who have sucessfully enrolled to the course last year. You may write this letter based on similar structure as the letter attached.
The requirement of this letters are:
1. Applicant's intellectual ability
2. Applicant's talent and strength, as well as weaknesses or developmental needs
3. Expectations regarding what the individual will be doing in five - ten years and their contribution to the field
Reference letter from Mr. ________
- Mr __________ is a blind person, he is also the founder/CEO of the Malaysian Foundation for the Blind.
- I know him for 14 year, that was when i approached him and approximately 20 other visually impaired/ blind working in the Malaysian Association for the Blind at that time. They participated some of my PhD experiments which require them to play different versions of audio only computer games (while i was recording their game scores and onbserving their behavior as part of the study)
- Later, we became very close, when i often visit them in the Malaysia association or the blind. I will usually organize classes occasionally with around 20 of them since 2011, and in every session, everyone will get a chance to speak about anything they wanted. Usually we will discuss about themselves, or any other interesting topics ranging from politics to technologies. The purpose is to motivate them to speak so they wont felt left out
- Sometimes, we will also meet up to play games (board/cards/computers) and sometimes we will listen to music as part of relaxation, it is actually a way to divert their attention since some of them thought life is meaningless when their world is dark (they could see nothing). Interestingly, I also taught them how to use an iphone, and since they have really good memory, they have no issues memorizing the position of those mobile app on their phone.
- I also introduced the blind association to install text-to-voice synthesized software to their mobile phones, so they can send/read whatsapp messages, and also use them to browse the mobile internet
- I will also help them find donors, help them organize events such as Exhibitions for Blind and Visually Impaired People, some kind of charity event where exhibitors include charities, commercial companies and voluntary organizations across Malaysia would participate just to support this group of people
- We are still connected until today, and covid19 did not stopped us from meeting up because we still meet up via Zoom, and business as usual.
- Mr ___________thinks that i am extremely creative and talented (here are some personality traits he suggested: integrity, leadership, curiosity, creativity, empathy, perseverance, motivation, ambition, collaboration, confidence, and others) since no one has ever approach them with new ideas when engaging them, or help them with their daily lives. He kept telling me he felt grateful, especially when I helped them to open up themselves through story telling sessions
- Mr _____________ thinks that i am a good educator, he also think i will be a successful entrepreneur, and non profit company CEO (but i am not sure how can these be related to educational leadership.
- Understood they wanted to know my strength, but also weaknesses (I am not sure if weaknesses should be inside this letter since referenc letter means writing something really good), but if you are going to include some weaknesses, then try to pick something not harmful at all.
- Please write as vivid and detail as possible, to highlight all my positive traits
Many thanks to you.

REFERENCE LETTER
To whom it may concern,
I have had the opportunity to spend time with this talented young man (Name) and have been awestruck by his managerial and teaching abilities. As a result, I am writing this letter of reference for his admission to Harvard. I've actually known him for 14 years, which is a significant amount of time. Having founded and served as CEO of the Malaysian Foundation for the Blind, I have a close working relationship with those who have disabilities. He works very closely with me in the area of aiding individuals with disabilities, particularly blind people, which I am interested in. Due to my vision disability, we have grown close over the years, and I now frequently call him for assistance when planning events for the Malaysian Foundation for the Blind. And to my amazement, he has a natural ability to care for and assist others. In addition to his aptitude for amusing others, this young man also has a gift for sharing and educating others through his distinct personality.
With the passage of time and his involvement in the organization I work for, I have developed a trusting relationship with this young man and relied on him to plan some of the events that my organization would have to aid blind people. Although I have many apprentices, he is one of the best and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and educational skills. He introduced software that can help people with vision impairment communicate better and faster using digital devices as a result of his willingness to get involved with the Malaysian Foundation for the Blind that I oversaw. For the benefit of visually impaired people, this program has a text-to-voice option that allows them to hear the message they are receiving. He has a very admirable compassionate temperament for a young person living in the contemporary era.
Additionally, he actively engages in the action of illuminating the Blind who have given up on this planet. He would suggest board games that would offer some hope to those who have lost their ...
