Statement of Purpose: Piano Performance (Solo Piano)
My interest in piano performance started when I was very young. On my fourth birthday, my parents bought me a piano as a birthday gift. As I reflect on this moment, I know that it was a special day because it birthed my hunger to pursue music as a career. As a result, piano solo performance has remained to be part of my life. Notably, music is an aspect that connects people from different cultures, nationalities, and ethnicities, and backgrounds.
Over the years, there has been an increase in musical composition as more individuals embrace arts rather than pursue office-based careers. The trend is arising from the ability of music to offer individuals opportunities for self-expression and connect with other people. As competition increases, I still believe that I can stand out as a prominent and established pianist in the world. Succeeding in music requires having the right attitude, skills, and urge to grow through advanced learning.
I am applying for the Piano Solo Performance program because I have always wanted to become a professional piano performer. Classical music is one of my primary interests, and I would love to perform similar tunes.
