BIOLOGICAL & BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES
Biological and biomedical sciences proved the basics of understanding both human and nonhuman primates. The study of primates helps identity differences and similarities between humans and other primates. Primates are found all over the world. Such primates, including human beings, show different behaviors (Lea, Chow, Leaver, & McLaren, 2020). Therefore, studying primates provides insight into how humans behave. Primates' behaviors are determined by various factors, such as pressures or difficult situations. Some reactions are from within generated as an individual instinct. On the other hand, some of the reactions are learned over time. Most of the actions of humans and other primates are learned. Learned behaviors are more of an advantage to primates than instinctual behavior. Learned behaviors may be challenging to understand at first but easy to change depending on the situation. Humans are the most intelligent among all other primates. Therefore, they can quickly learn most of the essential behaviors that are required for good living. Learned behaviors help primates make the right decisions depending on what a specific situation requires. Both instinctual and learned behaviors are useful for primates to survive. Instinctual behaviors come deep from the primates' feeling of something good or bad might happen. Primates can choose to evade from a bad situation or go for the right one. For example, a human instinct of something terrible to happen should avoid anything that may lead to such a situation.
Human development and phases can be described in many different ways. Some of the methods include biologically and culturally. Biologically speaking, humans organisms develop from the point of fertilization to adulthood and death. Human development, according to biological studies, starts when fertilization takes place. The fertilized egg grows into an embryo, then a fetus born as a baby (Keller, & Bard, 2017). There is the childhood stage where kids learn the survival or life, then adolescence where significant growth occurs—the last biological step in human development in adulthood, then death. On the other hand, human growth and development can be described in cultural stages. Culture refers to the customs, beliefs, and social behavior of a specific group of people. Different humans live at various geographical locations, making them have unique cultural ideas and phases of development. It is, therefore, right to say that human development and growth can be culturally defined. People around the world come from different cultures. So...
