Interrogation and Context
Interrogation is a questioning method where the questioning person attempts to get information from people who are potentially involved in the situation. This does not impose any assumption on a person but instead tries to determine whether a person is connected to an action or he/she is the doer. A person of authority may interrogate the context. Interrogation can vary depending on many factors. It can be the context, situation, and people involved. The seriousness and gravity of an interrogation may depend on these factors.
Conducting an interrogation is challenging for the authorities and the interviewee (Constanzo & Constanzo, 2014; Inbau, 2015). There are legalities like formal invitation and confidentiality that have to be considered. The authority will also have to put effort into getting the desired information to help the investigation progress. Interrogation is done as part of an investigation process. It tries to undermine the details about a criminal action. These can be the people involved, the time and location, the materials utilized in carrying out the crime, and the detailed course of action.
