In the first article, Marriage and the Genetic Risk of Depression, Justin Maietta the author, tries bringing out the relationship between marriage and the risk posed on depression, relating to hereditary factors. In other terms, the author tries establishing that stress-induced depressive symptoms, especially those that are inherent genetically, is either increased or decreased by marriage.
In the second article, Long-term Job Insecurity is depressing by Rose Malinowski Weingartner; the author tries to advocate the fact that being in a constant continuous or prolonged state of job insecurity causes anxiety and subsequent depression.
In the final article, Class, and gender in hiring for elite jobs by Brittany Dernberger, the author puts forward the belief that in the job industry, especially the corporate world, a lot of focus and attention is usually placed upon one’s gender first, then social class, and vice versa. In other terms, these two factors are generally the most considered by the employers in the corporate world, more than even the papers.
