Sexual Education
Growth and development are vital processes that young people must pass through. As they reach puberty, adolescents are likely to notice changes in their bodies. They may experience attraction to members of the opposite sex and the urge to engage in sex. Unless someone prepares them for the changes and the challenges in time, they may practice premature sex, which leads to unintended consequences such as unwanted pregnancies, dropping out of school, drug abuse, frustrations, and wasted lives (Breuner, Mattson, and Committee on Psychosocial Aspects of Child and Family Health 72). Perhaps to help bolster the efforts, the intuitions also make sure that sex education information is available in the school libraries and online so the adolescents can easily access them. On their part, parents and guardians are urged to interact more with their children, especially when they reach puberty. The stage can be so confusing to the teenagers, which is why they should reassure them and offer emotional support. Research shows ...
