Gender issues are part of social life hence subject to discussion and implementation of possible solutions. To address these matters, the United Nations has organized four world women's conferences and reviews done later. The most recent brought about a significant turning in gender equality, ending gender racism, especially among women. I reviewed the recently done conference and concluded that the critical ideas discussed were women's empowerment, equality, and the healthcare system. Majorly, the healthcare areas pushed for giving a voice to women with disability, reproductive justice, and bringing an end to racism in the healthcare sector.
The platform for action on women and health diagnosis proposals was providing quality and affordable healthcare services for women, creating programs to promote health for the disabled, and critiquing the women’s health movement system. Human beings have a right to be subjected to good health, and women participate actively in various activities (Maas). Hence, their well-being is paramount, and this is through proper equal healthcare services from providers through professional care and appropriate medication. Further, reproductive health matters, and this implies that women should get knowledge on safe sex and the freedom to reproduce whenever they want to.
Notably, to address the above issues, members at the conference presented different actions to be taken by the government, healthcare movements, employees, and individuals from different organizations. They include; the creation of health programs to address women's issues, offering education on reproductive health and sex to women through awareness meetings, and also ensure that women receive quality care and medication regardless of race or ethnic group (Women).
