The models of church proposed by Avery Dulles are the institution, mystical communion, sacrament, herald, servants well as the community of disciples. The community of disciples is the latest that Dulles added and this is the dominant model and integrates elements of the other five approaches (Dulles 17). The sacrament is the most dominant as it highlights that the Church includes both the human element and divine nature, which connects the Church to the world. As such, there is an emphasis on the grace of Jesus Christ, and the mode integrates elements of the other models.
