Name: Professor’s name: Course: Date: The Case for Christ Christianity has over the years faced up to strong opposition from the nonbelievers especially the atheist who refuses to believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the basis of Christian faith. Jon Gunn’s film, The Case for Christ, is an excellent depiction of an intense search for truth or rather confirmation of the atheist beliefs that end up in the conversion of the lead character into Christianity. Starring Mike Vogel as Lee Strobel, a distinguished reporter with the Chicago Tribune during the 1980s, the movie documents the journey of an atheist into Christianity through analysis of a wide range of facts and the ultimate final conviction of faith. Lee Strobel is sceptical at the possibility of God’s intervention as he nearly loses his daughter while at dinner with his wife, Leslie. The wife’s experience at the diner and subsequent fellowship at with the nurse who saved her daughter from choking to death in the latter’s church lead her to accept Christ and becoming a born again Christian CITATION Mik17 \l 1033 (Gunn). The ensuing arguments presented by Strobel to convince his wife of the ineptitude nature of Christianity makes for some of the interesting conversations and plot development of the movie. Lee Strobel’s conclusions were slightly plausible in that they sought to seek the truth behind Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection after three days. The arguments or conclusions were slightly plausible in that from an outsider’s perspective with no faithful affiliations to Christianity can argue against such an occurrence and thus go on a fact-finding mission.
