Ideally, these characters in the video have been struggling with irregular eating habits and serious distress about their weight. The most common eating disorders that Shelly, Alisa, Brittany, and Polly show are anorexia, bulimia nervosa, and purging disorder. Ideally, with these eating disorders, they struggle with inadequate or excessive food intake that damage’s their overall welfare. For example, in the case of Shelly and Polly they have excessive fear of gaining weight. They have unrealistic perception of their body image that has tormented for years. Shelly would often eat a little and still eliminate it through the opening she has on her stomach. Evidently, these are signs of anorexia because she is underweight and a risk of causing other health problems. Polly tried to kill herself after eating two pieces of pizza and this is a clear sign that she an eating disorder such as anorexia. Similarly, Alisa and Brittany are also struggling with an eating disorder. For Alisa she eats excessively and then purges the food. Bulimia nervosa is a characteristic of this behavior because one overeats and then tries to compensate by vomiting or using laxatives.
