Instruction:

Report on the trading stoppage of several popular stocks on American online trading platforms including Robinhood from earlier in 2021. You need to first of all explain what happened, and then analyze whether or not the decisions that were made were appropriate. You should state whether or not regulations should be changed to prevent such activity in future and offer an opinion on whether or not the public criticism of these platforms at the time. A good place to start is with this article. I expect at least 3 academic sources to be cited.
