The current technological advancements have greatly changed the lives of people. It is expected that such changes will continue taking place since researchers come up with better technology every time. Despite the excitement that people have regarding technology, media, and diversity, the question lies as to whether the services are having a positive or negative impact on the lives of the people around me. Therefore, this paper will discuss the various ways through which technology, media, and diversity have changed people's life.
Technology has made the communication process to be easy, hence helping people to efficiently complete tasks. An example is a case where an individual is required to send a document to someone else far away. Concerning the traditional methods of communication, an individual would be required to send someone to hand-deliver the package. However, in the era of technology, a person needs to share it via various mediums of communication. Making phone calls has also made it easy to pass across important information that could have been delayed in the absence of technology. Besides, the media has also helped in easing the communication process. Media houses ensure to cover events as they happen, thus informing the masses of any precautions that they may need to take. Such communication has helped the people around me and me to evade plenty of challenges. An example is following the weather broadcast or using the internet to identify and avoid roads filled with traffic. Therefore, with technology, everything regarding communication has been made easy. A diversity of technological devices and media enables people to have a choice of what to use in passing across the information. Nearly everyone born in the age of the internet has one or more social media accounts. Such platforms have been rated among the best media of communication. Through social media platforms, people are able to advertise their products (Felix, Reto, Philipp and Chris 124). Buyers can easily access such products and shop in the comfort of their homes. Without technology and media, people would spend plenty of hours in the market, searching for a particular item. These are a few of the technological benefits that people have been facing in terms of communication. Hence, technology and media diversity have been of great help.
As well, technology and media have contributed to the growth of business for the people around me. Through technology, business owners have focused on digital marketing, which helps in reaching the right audience. Companies have also developed mobile applications for their businesses. Such applications make it easy for potential customers to access their products. The fact that an individual can order a good at the comfort of their homes is what has kept most businesses running. Also, targeted media has increased the effectiveness of people passing information to the masses regarding their goods and services.
