The topic of this project is Should Euthanasia Be Legal. Euthanasia is often regarded as “good death.” It is the practice of ending one’s life intentionally, which means someone who is suffering or has too much pain can demand euthanasia. In different parts of the United States, Canada, Europe and worldwide, different laws have been formed in this regard. Some countries favor it, and others are against euthanasia. For example, the British House of Lords Select Committee on Medical Ethics calls it a way to relieve one’s pain. On the other hand, in Belgium and the Netherlands, euthanasia is the termination of a patient’s life by a doctor who wants to help the sufferer. However, the Dutch law has introduced the concept that doctors must help those individuals in committing suicide who are tired of their lives and want to relieve their pain Here, the word “euthanasia” is not used, but the same kind of concept is present and favored. The fact is that euthanasia should be legal in all parts of the world, as it is advantageous in a lot of ways.
The right to die needs to be a personal choice. Just like we have the right to wear our favorite clothes, can eat whatever we like the most, and receive education at our favorite institutions, it should be the personal choice of whether we want to live or die.
