 Introduction
Wedding anniversaries are significant occasions that are recognized by couples depending on their romantic preferences. They can be referred to as foundations that portray emotions and time spent together since marriage. Consequently, I have to choose a perfect and noteworthy location where I will dine with my husband for our 2020’s wedding anniversary. After a review of different restaurants based on our preferences, I have chosen the Moonshadows Malibu. The restaurant is located at 20356 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, and offers different cuisines integrating American, Italian, and Asian touches (CBS Los Angeles, 2017).  This detailed review of the restaurant through the analysis of ethos, pathos, and SOAPSTone will expound on my preference for Moonshadows Malibu as this year’s location for our wedding anniversary.
Ethos
Ethos entails the guiding beliefs or ethical aspects that are associated with a place, community, or nation (Detisch, 2019). Regarding Moonshadows Malibu, ethos will be used to denote the fundamental values portrayed by the restaurant. Notably, the restaurant’s owner, Mr. Andrea Bullo, began working in the hospitality sector in Italy since 1971 before coming to the United States (, 2020). As a result, he has mastered values associated with the hospitality sector leading to perfection in his work. Andrea has emphasized ethical values in his restaurant that range from appropriate treatment of guests to excellent service and employee-guest relations, among others. His experience in luxury service operation has presented the unique standards in the restaurant. Reviews show that prior guests have had professional interactions with the workers leading to a good time and need to visit again in the future. 
The general behavior of workers in Moonshadows Malibu reflects Andrea’s management approach that he has learned from the variety of hotels that he has worked in the past. A combination of different leadership styles has led to the perfect employee culture in the hotel. Again, the choice of employees in the restaurant makes sure that guests from all walks of life can enjoy Moonshadows Malibu’s services without biasness (, 2020). Consequently, the restaurant has never had a case of racism or ethnic differences despite the diversity in the number of guests. 
Pathos
Pathos involves the aspects of emotional appeal to the audience (Detisch, 2019). In the case of Moonshadows Malibu, the management has ensured a variety of approaches to create diversified emotional appeals. Firstly, the restaurant has a romantic appeal that is based on its design and lighting. I have visited Moonshadows Malibu’s website, and it has targeted different moods and emotions in its guests. For example, the restaurant’s panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean present a romantic mood for its guests. The sunset pictures along the Pacific Ocean’s horizon provide a relaxing mood for some of the guests.
