1 One of the main issues that the documentary tried to address was the ‘lack of diversity in the Met Museum. Initially, this issue stemmed from the idea that the museum’s conservators lack the varied composition of individuals from varying cultures and origins. However, in response to these issues, the Met showed how its representation of art and the empowerment of various artists was firmly centered on people of color. The museum highlighted that showcases for artists who are part of the minority are located within some of the brightest spots in the museum, thereby increasing foot traffic and enticing more viewers to see their pieces.
