Almost every youth is aware of “The Bachelors,” “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” and “Bad Girls Club.” These are some of the reality television shows that keep running on the screens now and then. They involve themes such as marriage, celebrity, sports, love, conflict, and revenge. The rapid advancement of technology has significantly contributed to the increasing number of viewers. Besides, millennials have been brought up using electronic devices, and they come across ads showing upcoming reality television shows. In the recent past, reality television shows have become very popular, and people should watch them to get entertained, satisfy human curiosity, and understand aggressive marketing in pop culture.
Naturally, humans are willing and curious to know how people in other cultures or social classes live. As such, the only way to quench that thirst is by watching reality television shows that depict how individuals in a particular field spend their time. For instance, if a person wants to understand the lives of celebrities, it would be advisable for one to watch “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Caitie Karasik asserts that pop culture perceives reality television shows as “harmless fun” (Karasik). Although some people call these programs, “unscripted shows,” they alter how characters live in their real lives. As individuals watch these shows, they get an illusion that they understand how others live or handle challenges they come across. Consequently, it is crucial to watch reality television shows out of human curiosity and be familiar with how individuals behave in different facets of their lives.
