Miscommunication in the office place has detrimental effects on both the employer and employee. This is the core reason as to why there should be a common language that each and every employee is conversant with. This will create a lovely working environment that will encourage creation of the right bonds. Any kind of miscommunication leads to a breakdown on how activities are run in an office. However, I believe that there is a single language in which all the other languages will be communicated through to make them more effective. The crowning language am talking about is English. I strongly support that English should be the only language that should be used in offices.
First and foremost, the English language is one of the simplest languages. Let us not give in to the common fallacy that the language is not well spoken or rather used by foreigners. In fact, some of these foreigners have become the master of the language and most prefer using it as an international language to communicate among foreigners. It is the easiest language on the planet. (Pennycook, 2017). Office errands should not be complicated and complicating the medium of communication is hindering the all process.
Secondly, the English language is taken as the informal language that the internet utilizes. Billions of the website utilizes the language in posting and conveying what they offer. Over half of the internet material has been published in English. Therefore, it will be absurd for an office to utilize another language in updating its website.
