Asbury went through a difficult time in his life and encountered several health issues. Her mother could tell that her son was experiencing anguish in his life by the expression on his face as the Asbury train came to a complete stop exactly where she had instructed him to. Even when Asbury first encountered his mother, he appeared to be living on the edge of his existence in more ways than one before she called his attention to her.
