Personal Narrative
I am a soft-spoken and softhearted person, and it is quite difficult for me to see anyone in agony or pain. My heart starts bleeding when I see many patients in the hospitals with severe complications. As a teenager, I saw my mother looking after the patients as a competent and hard-working nurse. I had lost my father before my birth, and my mother told me that she looked after my grandmother and me all alone. Unfortunately, both of them lost their lives in a road accident, and one of my aunts brought me up. She sent me to a hostel where I learned how to help others. I got to know that helping others is as essential as helping ourselves.
Gradually, I developed an interest in nursing and took admission in a medical school. After completing my studies, I opted for an internship at a private hospital and began serving people suffering from different illnesses. One night, when I finished my shift and was about to leave for home, a patient in the emergency ward began shouting. I ran towards him to check his physical and mental condition. He was having the problem with breathing, and I arranged an oxygen pipe for him within minutes. Soon his condition was stable, and I was happy to be of help.
Here I would like to say that it is crucial for nurses to resolve the issues themselves rather than waiting for doctors or senior nurses. My decision of providing him with oxygen artificially help...
