I have a dream
"I Have a Dream" is a speech delivered by Martin Luther King Jr. during the fight for racial equality in America, and it's termed as one of the greatest speeches in American history. The speech became significant during the struggle for equality among the black population living in America. Martin used different types of appeals and literary elements in his speech to produce a meaningful purpose that many people could relate to. Martin used several rhetorical devices like metaphors, pathos and logos and ethos to provoke his audience, making it one of the most effective ways to motivate a crowd.
To share his feelings and dreams with Americans, Martin Luther Jr. created hopeful images in the minds his audience, encouraging people to rise above racial segregation. An example of pathos is his speech is when he said: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
This statement stands out because it gives hope to those affected and enables his audience to see a brighter future. By referring to his children, he wanted to build a good bond with his audience. He painted a picture to the audience about the future of their children, which would
