Wealth status in America today has been used as a measure of societal financial worth. From the period of civil wars when the American families lose most of their properties, the white families didn’t take much to cover this. The white took the larger part of the American societies which allowed them to recover very quickly than the other minority group like the blacks (Mock np). The black families are however left behind in widening their wealth curve due to oppression and discrimination issues which have been a concern for a very long time. The economic life of black people even after the passage of civil rights in 1964 has been dragging since they were never recognized by the majority who are whites. Unequal distribution of the resources and minimal social interactions rendered this community into big pools of poverty.
The white benefited hugely during the slave trade. According to the various studies, the transfer of the south slaveholding practiced by the whites opened many economic doors (Mock np). Though there some discussions which disagree with the slavery-based advantages towards the white, its clear most of the black people were subjected to this trade as the commodities thus denied opportunity to widen their economic ideas and policies (Jason and Kevin 139). The high peak of the slave trade in 1860 raised slavery profits towards the white who were the main drivers of the activities.
The whites-only took one generational move to regain their reach. This didn’t, however, came from the slave trade but from the many agricultural productivities, the skills of entrepreneurship, and other evolutional techniques that opened their economic growth curves. The black families, on the other hand, took time to recover from slavery which took a lot of their time which they would have used to develop and set economic projects.
