The English Patient presents an anecdote in which Michael Ondaatje converges characters of different nationalities and races. The novel that comprises of people; a badly burned Englishman, a thief, a Sikh sapper, and a nurse, who, compelled by unfortunate circumstances, form an improbable relationship, and together discover the poignant wounds they harbor as they unveil the intrigues surrounding their respective pasts.
