An educational barrier is anything that complicates the ability of a student to learn smoothly. Educational barriers can have mild to extreme consequences on a student's performance in class and beyond. Educational barriers include but are not limited to poverty, long distance between home and school, abuse and neglect, and inadequate funds for education.
