College Education Is a Necessity
For a long time, education has empowered many individuals by providing them the information and skills they need to achieve their life aspirations. An individual with an unfinished education is typically questioned for his or her capabilities. More often than not, those who did not finish higher education cannot find high-yield jobs, except those who are self-employed and made themselves their own boss. However, not all people can do this. This is why many people strive to finish higher education, but the question remains, “at what cost?” Throughout the years, the price of education remained a luxury, for not all governments worldwide can provide the people free education to give them an equal footing in reality. Since education is unaffordable to many, people are forced to withdraw or place a loan with a high interest, which they will pay for their lifetime. Here comes the argument on whether or not it is worth spending a lifetime paying debts to finish college. With that being said, this paper shall prove that college education is necessary for it aids the students the knowledge and skills to combat the struggles of life, and it is up to these individuals on how they will use these aspects to achieve their dreams.
Harsh realities welcome college graduates after they set their foot off the university. The truth is, it is difficult to face the challenges without being fully equipped with the knowledge and skills. Despite the immense preparation at the university, one can never be prepared. However, if we only have the skill and not the knowledge or vice-versa, it would be even more challenging for us to overcome these challenges. Roth (Source B) revealed that an example of being equipped for the future is when one has a good grasp of a circumstance, superb judgment, and excellent decision making. Furthermore, this can be achieved when one applied for a degree in liberal arts because it helps the students develop their reasoning skills, which they can use to control the variables in their future, including the number of resources, knowledge of culture, and socioeconomic skills. Understanding these concepts will help the students apply flexibility while maintaining focus in their future careers. These shall help them gain a critical analysis of the risks of their actions. Consequently, all of these shall aid them in becoming innovators in a constantly changing world.
