Essay Instructions:

Some of you have asked me about extra credit. So here's an extra credit assignment you can do, if you like. It's totally optional.
Go to TED Talks at https://www(dot)ted(dot)com/talks/browse. Find one TED talk that interests you. It can be on any subject, and can be any TED Talk. Watch it all the way through (some are short, some a little longer).
Then in one paragraph write a summary of the talk. In this paragraph, be sure to give the name of the talk and the speaker.
In a second paragraph, give your reaction to the talk. This section’s pretty flexible, since what you will want to say will be determined by the talk you watched. You could write about whether you agreed or disagreed, or say what you learned, or say if and how it changed your thinking—anything you want.
At the end of your paper, provide a link to the talk.
Attach it to an e-mail and send it to me by the day of the final exam.
Possible extra credit points: 20.

Obesity is also a disease that impairs one’s life, minimizes life expectancy, predisposes one to other medical conditions, and results from genetic impairment, leading to functioning impairment. Such impairments include chronic back pain, heart diseases, diabetes, depression and anxiety. Mads concludes that the awareness hormones and signal molecule...
