Recent Arrests of the Gulf Cartel
The Gulf cartel is one of the most famous, oldest, and most influential Mexican criminals. The group is generally a criminal syndicate and drug trafficking organization that started way back in 1984. Operations are done at the US-Mexico borders and make substantial cash using the borders by charging other drug traffickers to use the route (Insight Crime). Additionally, the group has several members who operate in different locations, and each group has a foreign leader that commands the operations. The groups are dangerous to the people surrounding their operations as they possess guns and tend to claim people’s lives (Insight Crime). The US and Mexico governments have played a significant role in putting an end to the Gulf Cartel group by making several arrests of the leaders of the groups and the various people involved in the groups.
