Being a leader is not a privilege or a license to do what one pleases but a responsibility to the people and those who may be referred to as subjects. It takes courage to lead, but without wisdom, one’s leadership will be deemed wanting. Wisdom is an important ingredient in leadership, and this comes with age and experience in different positions of leadership. Aside from the above, a leader must also be a person who is willing to serve. It is often said that a leader is, first of all, a servant, and there is indeed some truth in these words.
